With solid foundations in research Rachel Hoy (Rach) and Julie Gaughan (Jules) are a dynamic business duo and the main faces behind Face Facts Research. Having known each other since the mid-90’s, Rach and Jules bonded as colleagues and quickly became friends before becoming joint business owners. This solid ‘team’ foundation ensures they understand and respect each other’s strengths, which in turn creates a winning formula for market research projects large or small.
Having enjoyed successful research careers, Rach and Jules learned every inch of the research sector before working together at Face Facts Research. Acquiring the business was not all plain sailing; however, the business duo’s determination, focus and ambitious plans drove them forwards and they became joint owners of Face Facts almost 3 years ago.
Jules used to be Head of Field and loves working in research. She feels the work suits her process driven and pragmatic style.
Talking about her love for research Jules says:
“I’m systems orientated and enjoy putting processes and projects into real life operational management. Receiving positive feedback and hearing from happy clients gives me an enormous sense of job satisfaction.”
Rach was formerly a full-service Quantitative Researcher and enjoys the variety of the job and the agencies projects. She says:
“I enjoy project-based work and seeing projects from the start of the journey to completion. I get a sense of achievement from working with different sectors, subjects and brands.”
