The Challenge

Our client wanted to collect real-life shopper journeys using brand new “automated observations” technology.

The Solution

1,000 shoppers measured in a single store! An exciting day in the world of shopper research. Shoppers were approached as entered the store and asked to wear our spy glasses which recorded everywhere they looked as they performed their usual shop. That was the easy bit. Ensuring glasses were charged, data was safely extracted on an ongoing basis meant a very busy week for our team – but such a rewarding experience and one we hope to repeat!

The Outcome

Real life shoppers behaviours across the entire store will be analysed by our client using there world first software – category by category; every aisle, gondola, display, promotion and POS will be evaluated on the all-important ability to convert passing shoppers into buyers.
