Just back from the Market Research in the Mobile World Conference in Atlanta last month. What a great event! Loved learning about the challenges and opportunities of using mobile technologies for customer research. Was great to meet up with peers and make new friends and connections too.
Mobile phones are now part of our culture in the UK and US. So utilising them for researching the customer is an obvious development …. just how is it best to do this most effectively? For example, privacy and ethical issues, as well as how best to integrate with more traditional research techniques? You know how when you get thinking about this, there are so many unanswered questions as mobiles are still an emerging technology in many ways….e.g. smart phones and the “app revolution”. So it’s very exciting times, and the conference really captured that.
Many highly regarded experts from across the world were at the Mobile World conference. For example, our commander-and-chief Mr Leonard Murphy with whom I hold the highest regard put on a truly amazing event and even let his hair down a little at the after party! It was great to learn from their insights about best practice, and considerations / projections for the future.
